We love showing photos from homeowners, contractors, and clients of finished installations—that is, after all, where our products truly shine. However, we know how exciting it is to see “how it’s made” and look “behind the scenes”.
So today, we’re sharing photos of the installation process for a fully custom grotto.
Jeff at AquaFX in New York shared these photos with us back in 2019. The project is a custom grotto, designed by Aqua FX for the homeowner’s pool. They use a wide variety of RicoRock’s structural and custom GFRC products, each added strategically during the installation process to maximize the au naturel effect our products are known for. Things really start taking shape after the slide*, which is supplied by Dolphin Waterslides, and stairs are added to the design. After that, the final touch—to make it truly feel like real rock—is the color.
All that creates an impressive, eye-catching custom grotto!
Sure, it might look like a lot of work. But when you have the right team—and the right products—big backyard transformations become the most fun you’ve ever had.
